The pictures are wonderful! It looks like everyone had a good time. I made copies of the pictures and will send them to Mom. I don't know everyone but the colored t-shirts help to identify the people. Carol Ann and Franny came to New Ulm on Monday and took Mom over to the Fairfax area where they tried to find the old Schweiss farm. They didn't have much luck but they did have a good time. That was really nice of them. It made Mom feel good. .... Let's stay in touch. I so enjoy hearing from you!
Hi Joan,
Thanks for your message. My parents and Jane had such a great time at the reunion, and I was sorry to have missed it. My Grandma Irene (Scheiss) Huelskamp was so wonderful, I would have liked to meet some of the family to whom she was related. Please keep me posted regarding the next reunion. Hopefully we (my husband and 4 children included) will be able to attend.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Huelskamp Stanley
Joan,
When you click "my settings" then click "privacy" you are given the option to not have comments appear on your page until approved. My guess is Sue chose this instead of the default which is to allow comments to appear without moderation. You can 'send a message" (under her name/photo) which she would get in private, too.
Sports was a big thing for my Dad and Mother. When my Dad injured his knee at St. Thomas College during the depression he quit school and went back to our farm. My Mother enjoyed all sports and knew a bit about the Stadtherr's and their sports abilities. Frances and I were both pitchers in baseball. I can think of three Stadtherrs that were pitchers and I suspect I missed a few.
I thought you looked a lot like Susan Smith. Has anyone else commented on this?
Use this comments box to add names to photos. Click on a photo during the slide show and it will stop and allow you to label who is in the picture. Clicking "view full size" allows a full size look and is good for capturing to make prints.
Great start Joan. Any problems getting signed up. Lets figure out some "how to do it" hints to include, then start inviting more people. You can upload photos and sort them into albums. One could be labeled, "Who are these people?"

I must have gotten the names mixed up. Pat Smith does look a lot like you.

I think we missed the family photos. Oh, well, next time...
Let's get together soon. I'm in the mood for big bowl.
